Public transport
TRT deals with public transport planning at the urban level as well as at the regional level. Our company offers a full guidance for drawing up public transport plans, their management and their monitoring over time.
The company is able to provide advice to transport operators (Local public transport operators) to support in drafting of exercise programs and technical and economic documents preparatory to application in tenders for the externalization of services.
In Italy, the company has provided consulting services in support of public transport plans up to the management and regulation of Local public transport services within the instruments of urban planning.
In Europe, TRT has participated in various projects on behalf of
several Directorates-General of the Commission and Transport and
Tourism Committee of the European Parliament.

Services in Piacenza area
Tempi Agenzia Spa charged TRT to execute an analysis on the
transported demand by urban and extra-urban services in Piacenza
Province. The analysis consisted in the following preparatory
activities:
- Setting of the counting on board system for passengers getting
on and getting off at each stop;
- Setting of the information fact sheet to collect data regarding:
ticket used, frequency of use and possible exchange with
extra-urban means of transportation and train;
- Setting of the shift plan of the staff in charge of pointing out
the urban public transport services;
- Staff training and support from TRT at the time of the analysis.

North Milan sustainable Mobility
The feasibility study analyses a package of policy measures for
sustainable mobility in a cluster of municipalities belonging to
the metropolitan area of Milan. The study is funded by the
Ministry of the Environment as part of the Strategic Plan and
Agenda 21 of the North Milan Area.
The North Milan Area includes four municipalities, Sesto San
Giovanni, Cinisello Balsamo, Cologno Monzese and Bresso. It is a
densely populated area, with 234.000 inhabitants, with a strong
economic role (13.000 firms and 60.000 working places). The area
is also undergoing important land use changes as a number of
former industrial areas, approximately 3 millions square meters,
will be redeveloped in the next future.

Udine local public transport
The Provincial administration of Udine has charged TRT together with
TBridge (Genova), Studio Cudini (Palmanova) and Studio Matildi (Bologna)
of drawing up a feasibility study for an extra-urban public transport
system along the northern axis.
The main activities of TRT have been the assessment of passengers demand
and the financial and economic evaluation of project’s alternatives. Both
activities were carried out by means of simulations performed with a
multi-modal transport model (Meplan).
